Sr. Analyst, International Route Planning
Phoenix, AZ
 
The Sr. Analyst for International Route Planning is responsible for economic analysis of new and existing routes within the US Airways international network.
 
Duties include:
·         Perform expert financial analysis and strategic modeling of the US Airways international schedule using Excel, Access, PM, and various other scheduling models
·         Determine if service to new international cities is feasible, and recommend changes to optimize the existing international schedule
·         Professionally present results and recommendations to Senior Management
·         Professionally represent the company to various external parties, up to and including cabinet-level Ministers of foreign governments, national tourism authorities, foreign airport operators, and industry trade groups
 
Requirements:
·         Undergraduate degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or Science; MBA preferred
·         One to two year’s experience in airline scheduling, route planning, revenue management, or financial analysis including extensive financial modeling and database management experience
·         Prior airline route planning experience preferred
·         In-depth understanding of airline economics and the various data sources used in analysis of airline routes and schedules
·         Outstanding analytical thinking capabilities
·         Demonstrated advanced Excel and Access skills
·         Ability to manage multiple projects on an ongoing basis
·         Strong written and verbal communication skills including ability to sell ideas to internal stakeholders
