The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA)
recently announced the establishment of the Donald A. Baldwin,
Sr., Business Aviation Management Scholarship. This scholarship
will be awarded to the first recipient in 2008 at the CAMC
Leadership Conference. Mr. Baldwin, an accomplished general
aviation pilot and beloved father, was a Member of NBAA’s
Board of Directors from 1968 to 1971. He was also recipient
of the NBAA John P. “Jack” Doswell Award in
1992 and recipient of the Flight Safety Foundation Business
Aviation Meritorious Service Award in 1991.
The scholarship offered in Baldwin’s honor, will promote professional
development in business aviation by providing financial support for
individuals seeking to become NBAA Certified Aviation Managers. These
funds, totaling $1,025 per recipient, will cover expenses involved
in preparing for the CAM Exam. Successful applicants must explain their
plans for a career in business aviation, provide a recommendation letter
of support, and meet minimum qualifications to take the CAM Exam.
